Stinging umbel meadows occur on alternatingly wet, occasionally flooded clayey sites, often in depressions/edges of flood basins. These are areas of the floodplain that are structured by flooding, and are sometimes flat. The populated soils are rich in humus and, as a result of regular suspended matter deposition, more or less clayey, i.e. rich in colloids. This means that on the one hand they have a high capacity for storing nutrients, and on the other hand they bind plant nutrients very strongly. This can lead to the plant population being undersupplied with individual, poorly soluble nutrients such as potassium or phosphorus, even if these are present in sufficient quantities. The high clay content also means that the water in the soil is poorly available during dry periods in summer. The alternation between temporary flooding (a few days to many weeks) during flooding and drying out in summer characterizes the populated sites as alternatingly wet to alternatingly moist, and sometimes also alternatingly dry. LRT sites in dyked floodplains also exhibit alternating wet to alternating humid conditions due to temporary flooding with pressurized water or due to strongly changing, sometimes very high, groundwater levels over the course of the year.

Very nice, quiet and partly mossy forest path. It leads past 2 wet meadows and is surrounded by old trees. Absolute recommendation for hikers who want to experience the forest in a respectful calm.

The gate to the forest is firmly locked on the back at the top by a kind of thorn and is difficult to open. The solution is not optimal, since the gate cannot be unlocked or closed by some. However, the gate should always be closed because of the animals.

Contrary to the otherwise very chessboard-like route in the Mönchbruchwald, this path leads very nicely through the forest, past some old oaks and partly swamp-like terrain. This path is not well paved, so more suitable for MTB.
