There's hardly a more fitting name for a trail. Especially when combined with the Great White, it's an iconic combination. The Dark Side of the Moon starts just below the Rothorn cable car mountain station and leads through the eponymous stone desert down to the avalanche barrier and over to Gredigs Fürggli. The trail's "red" rating on Trailforks is fitting. Along the way, the occasional rock roll or natural wall ride offers the opportunity to spice up the trail experience a bit. Very nicely groomed, almost endless trail.

The easiest way to reach the Hörnligrat by bike, and with the least amount of effort, is by taking the Hörnli Express gondola from Innerarosa. From here, you can then head back down to the valley in virtually any direction. The flowing Hörnli Trail back to Arosa is particularly popular. The other trails (which are not designated trails, so be careful of hikes) are also very worthwhile, although some are a bit more challenging (e.g., to Lake Urden, S3).

The red gondola cabins of the Brambrüeschbahnen connect Chur's local mountain with the city. While the mountain station is the starting point or destination of many hikes, in the valley you are almost in the middle of Chur's old town, where you can be chauffeured back to your desired destination thanks to the good SBB connections.

The Brambrüeschbahnen take hikers and mountain bikers with their bikes from Chur, which lies at an altitude of 592 metres, with the Chur-Känzeli-Bahn and the Känzeli-Brambrüesch-Bahn to an altitude of 1,188 metres.
