The small Schönenberg road to the Ricken Pass from Wattwil lives up to its name. While it does have a few meters of elevation gain, with very little traffic, the climb is a lot of fun and ideal for road cycling.

From Siebenen, you first cycle through the Wägital Valley on your way to Sattelegg. The road is initially not very steep, but it only becomes a bit more challenging once you leave the main road.

The point lies in the climb from Siebnen via Eisenburg Rtg Feldrederten and Rossweidhöchi. Initially asphalt roads further up, it then becomes increasingly swampy on natural roads from Grossfeldrederten to Rossweidhöchi.

Reduced winter service on this road, therefore difficult to drive on in slippery/cold temperatures. A large part of the road leads through the forest and is shady and icy in winter. A great route when the weather is nice and warm :)
