In summer it is a popular destination for hikers, motorcyclists and cyclists. In addition to the highly recommended St. Meinrad restaurant, the pass also has the Etzel Chapel, which was first mentioned in the 13th century. The pass is on the famous Way of St. James and, when the weather is nice, you can see, among other things, the Rigi and Mount Pilatus on the southwestern horizon.
