Very nice trail. Technically not too difficult, but you need to have some experience to get down here well. Partly steep and a lot of stones. You also have to know your way around to drive the whole trail, as a turn-off is relatively difficult to see.

A beautiful, easy trail. Pure pleasure.

That's what I call an unexpected beautiful trail

It was great a few years ago. Now (July 2022) upper steep 2/3 completely washed out with high roots and heels. Lower part from curve is ok.

Follow the footpath and not the road! (Yellow White signs). When following this path you get a nice primarily singletrail DH, starting with a forest part with big roots, then a flow part with a few corners, finishing the route of with a rock garden with loose rocks. Be aware of hikers here! Very popular spot for hiking also.

Nice single trail, but be careful pedestrians and sometimes coarse gravel. In the area after the road crossing (after the small water reservoir) there is a fine root trail. May only be driven in this direction (for whatever reason there is a driving ban in the other direction at the end)

Great trail, partly at or near Wolfhalden high above a small stream...partly very flowy!!!, very beautiful in both directions. Watch out for hikers and other muggles! The key word: respect!!! Not always a given in Appenzell!!
