Not far from Vangvueng you can visit 4 caves in a row. In the first one you can even go tubing. In the other 2 you can walk a good way (with good shoes! The floors are wet and slippery, you can borrow a headlamp there) until it gets narrower and lower. With stalactites and stalagmites. In the 4th cave there is a stalactite that looks like an elephant. It is easily accessible from Vangvieng by tuktuk.

From here you have a beautiful view of the mountains at sunset. You can enjoy a sundowner cocktail right at the stand there.

There is significantly less hustle and bustle here than at Lagoon #1. There is a nice restaurant with good food. 👍🏻

Absolutely worth seeing. The hike, the ferry, the cave hike (you don't need a flashlight) and then a bath in the mountain spring

An impressive cave that deserves some time to explore. Light is essential; a phone's flashlight will suffice.

Guess this might be more spectacular when the river has more water. Have a swim in the pool below the small first waterfall to cool off from the ride!

A labyrinth with many stairs runs through the cave. The cave is definitely worth seeing. You can also get culinary delights along the river to the cave.

Less crowded than the lagoons further down in the valley. Clear water. Super nice for swimming.

One of the most beautiful and not so crowded cave in the region. You can see many stalactites there and in the middle of the cave you can look out of the mountain.

Very nice blue lagoon. As the first lagoon in the valley is also very crowded.

Interesting monoliths from an ancient culture. Were probably used as temporary urns to extract the soul of the buried person. There is a visitor center at site 1 that gives some back ground information. The sites are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. entrance fees range between 15.000 Kip (site 1) and 10.000 Kip (for the other two sites).
