Interesting to know, the cave is actually the only primary exploited cave in Greece, created by limestone. It is not that long, just 25 meters in total. But the whole experience is mystical and introduces travelers to the mysteries of the ground. Entrance fee 1 € as of December 2021.

12 m high Kounoupitsa waterfall is the hidden gem of the gorge. You can access the waterfall either from Loutra Loutrakiou thermal baths in summer or from Ano Loutraki in winter /spring. The path from the thermal baths crosses the Ag. Nikolaos stream many times an it is difficult to follow the path in spring when the water is rising. There are no bridges. Proper shoes are a must and a good equipment certainly helps.
