Mount Brandon can be climbed from both the west and the east. Sturdy hiking boots, surefootedness, and weatherproof clothing are recommended. If you would like to walk around the lake, bring a good pair of shoes, socks, and rain jacket. The lookouts are beautiful, and there are a few great places for a trail snack. Don't forget to pack water. If you aren't game for a walking hike, we saw many people on their bikes, and there is a driving path that goes part way around the lake with several pull off spots, if you are in a bit of a rush.
