Follow the red circle 🔴 path and you will get to the end of it, where you find this amazing, refreshing and beautiful waterfall! You can drive by car to the ethnographic museum in Pătrăhăițești where the fairly new asphalt ends. Parking is not always available at the museum, so I would recommend you to leave your vehicle along the paved road very close to the end. The walk to the waterfall is not long, but it takes around 15 minutes to walk to reach the peaceful waterfall. Beware, there are also some fallen trees on the path but it is easy to find the right way. Highly recommend, especially on hot summer days!

You can get there from both above and below. The lower route is the more scenic.

The Park of National Unity (Parcul Unirii), along with the citadel located to its east, forms the center of Alba Iulia. The most striking feature is the gigantic, very modern artesian fountain. Many monuments commemorate the union of Wallachia, Moldavia, Transylvania, and other regions into the present-day state of Romania, which was agreed upon here on December 1, 1918.

The complex Râpa Roșie (Red Gorge) Nature Reserve encompasses specific erosion and stream formations that lend the landscape an impressive appearance. It also boasts a unique flora with many rare and endemic plants. On the nearly vertical wall, strange columns and stepped pyramids, separated by ravines, form a micro-relief that geographers call "Badlands" after the famous model in South Dakota. The formation consists primarily of deposits of red clay with gray and red sandstone.

A beautiful trail begins with an incline and then leads level through a pristine jungle. The trail is clearly marked with a yellow cross. Fallen trees overgrown with moss and mushrooms, caves, eroded rocks, and woodpeckers – it truly is like an enchanted world!

Hard hike but beautiful views. Stunning landscape all round. Not for beginner hikers, but not impossible for beginners.

A special experience in the Trascău Mountains is the hike through the Râmeț Gorge (Cheile Râmețului). The gorge is flanked by 150 to 200 meter high rock walls for almost two kilometers. A narrow path leads along the karst walls, which makes the hike a climbing adventure. Rocks blocking the way can be climbed over with the help of iron hooks. The highlight of the gorge is the so-called portal, a stone gate that spans the river like a bridge. The entrance to the gorge can be reached by driving along the right bank of the Geoagiului along the road from the Râmeț Monastery to the end (approx. four kilometers), even if it is no longer asphalted. It gets narrow and parking and turning spaces are rare.
