The Windgällenhütte, located at 2,032 m in the picturesque Maderanertal, offers 60 beds in nine bright rooms, each with 4-15 beds equipped with Nordic blankets and pillows. The facility is open from the beginning of June to mid-October, while in the winter period there is a winter room with 8 beds, accessible by telephone reservation. The Fürenalp is an idyllic mountain pasture at an altitude of 1,850 metres, easily accessible by cable car from Engelberg. Surrounded by impressive peaks such as the Engelberger Rotstock and the Uri-Rotstock, it offers spectacular views, exciting climbing routes and delicious food in the Fürenalp mountain restaurant.
