The Fronalpstock-Klingenstock high-altitude trail is suitable for low-cut hiking, but still offers considerable, sweaty elevation gain, consistently at over 1,700 meters, and is used by countless other hikers, "thanks" to the cable cars that serve both peaks. The views are always worth seeing, though. And anyone who ascends from Morschach will be rewarded with an almost deserted ascent. Of course, there are also restaurants, for example, on the Fronalpstock, where, despite the name, the work isn't for nothing.

A lovely place to take a family break. It's a shame that it's closed until December, so don't consider it for a drink or a meal.

The Brisen lies between the Engelbergertal and the Isental on the canton border between Nidwalden and Uri. The mountain marks the western end point of a long mountain ridge, which runs to the Oberbauenstock and is the highest point of it. The Haldigrat slopes down towards the Engelbergertal and separates the Steinalp above Niederrickenbach from the Sinsgäu near Oberrickenbach. A third ridge runs east to Hoh Brisen, which at 2413 m above sea level. M. is even higher and is only separated from the breeze by a saddle 70 meters deep. However, since the Hoh Brisen is not visible from the north and has not been developed for tourism, the Brisen is perceived as the main summit. To the south of the Brisen lies the Chaiserstuel, which is almost the same height.
