The Commandery of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem is located in the municipality of Hohenrain. It is one of the oldest Hospitaller settlements in Switzerland. It was first mentioned in 1182/83 as a commandery. Parts of the complex, dating from the late 12th and 13th centuries, have been largely preserved as part of a medieval castle belonging to the Order. Please note! The chic château can only be visited by appointment. Events, catering, and festivals are also held here. Every year, a charming medieval market takes place at Wyher Castle. There is a large free parking lot behind the castle.

Wartensee Castle is a real eye-catcher and the view over the battlements, the lake and the landscape is something special. Although the château cannot be visited, the owners have a heart for all those who would like to take a look behind the scenes. This means that the gardens and the chapel are open to the public. An absolute must-have.
