Nice place to spend the night. Closed stove and toilet. Benches are wide enough to sleep on. Clean and quiet spot. To get there you need to pass a gate. Hidden from the main road.
a nice riverside Kota hut and a fireplace on the river bank - a great location to ponder about a perfect English translation for the Finnish "Sisu" :-)
Tenon Tunturituvat, or "Teno Fell Huts," is a collection of cabins and a cafe located in Finnish Lapland near the Teno River. The site is an ideal base for exploring the unique landscape of the Teno River valley.
The cabins belonged to Sami families. They were used as accommodations on market days and during church services until the 1930s. The buildings are beautifully situated on the shore of Lake Mantojärvi.
