케미야르비‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪4‬개의 산장 & 오두막집

This little wilderness hut lies at the southeastern entrance to the Isokuru gorge, the deepest in Finland. It's a fine place to enjoy a snack before or after taking on the trails through the spectacular gorge.

The suspension bridge is exciting. It swings a lot and the planks creak with every step.

A solid log hut, with wood heater, outhouse and firepit. Kept by Metsähallitus and available for a brief stop for anyone, overnight stays allowed to hikers arriving under their own power (walking, skiing etc., not with motorized vehicles). About 600 m from the gravel road.

Starting point for several smaller hiking routes, as well as a small museum in the back about wood processing from times gone by/decades. There is a café inside the building, but we even had a very tasty salmon soup with mulberry tea there. The hosts (an older couple) were very friendly and accommodating. A detour after a hike is definitely recommended.

There, as at many places on the hiking routes, there is a shelter with a fireplace and wood supply. Perfect for a rest.
