Wild, narrow and green, the Wolfsschlucht in the Thal Nature Park in the Solothurn Jura is an adventure for the whole family. Rock walls up to 100 meters high, some of them overhanging, line the gorge. Even in summer it is pleasantly cool and shady. The path leads past caves and washouts. There are several fire pits where you can fortify yourself with a picnic. The entrance is directly at the Herbetswil Wolfsschlucht bus stop. Parking is available in the village center of Herbetswil.

Wangen an der Aare is a municipality and capital of the administrative district of Oberaargau in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The little town with the historic town center is located in a rural setting directly on the large Mittelland river Aare between the towns of Olten and Solothurn, but belongs to the Bernese Oberaargau. An old covered wooden bridge crosses the river. Wangen an der Aare was also the main town of the former district of the same name. In the municipal area, the small river Ösch flows into the Aare as a mill stream. Neighboring communities are Attiswil, Wiedlisbach, Walliswil near Wangen and Wangenried. In the west, the municipality borders on the canton of Solothurn.
