스펠롱가‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪4‬개의 산 정상

몬테 올랜도 공원은 89헥타르의 면적을 가지고 있으며, 그중 59헥타르는 육지이고 30헥타르는 해양 지역입니다. 가에타 영토 내에 위치한 이 공원은 아우룬치 산맥 시스템의 말단부를 나타냅니다. 이 보호 구역은 리비에라 디 울리세 지역 공원청이 잔놀라와 몬테 디 스카우리 교외 지역 공원 및 스페를롱가 자연 기념물 지역과 함께 관리합니다. 전형적으로 둥근 형태의 몬테 올랜도는 북쪽으로는 좁은 땅으로 본토와 연결되어 있으며, 남쪽으로는 장엄한 절벽으로 특징지어지는 높은 암석 해안으로 끝납니다. 이 지역은 물의 부식 작용의 영향을 받는데, 실제로 빗물이 암석에 침투하면 그 안에 포함된 탄산칼슘이 용해되어 수많은 전형적인 침식 형태를 만들어냅니다. 바다 또한 이 곶의 형성에 기여했으며, 수 세기에 걸쳐 파도의 움직임을 통해 암석을 형성하고 침식시켜 고대 해수면의 인식 가능한 흔적인 화석 흔적을 남겼습니다. 다양한 역사 시대에 걸친 인간의 개입도 몬테 올랜도에 그 흔적을 남겼습니다. 특히 현재 공원 안팎에 건설된 군사 요새에 주의를 기울여야 하는데, 이 요새들은 가에타를 나폴리 왕국의 전략적으로 중요한 요새로 만들었습니다. 정상에는 루키우스 무나티우스 플랑쿠스 영묘가 있습니다.

To climb towards Cima Pantani from Contrada Taverna, below Campodimele, take Via Pozzo Largo and follow a pleasant little road immersed in the peace of nature until you enter a small wood. The road is narrow but well paved. I recommend it as a variant to the climb, for the Cima, from Fondi. Once you get there, you can continue towards Lenola and then quickly descend towards Fondi

From the summit of Monte Grande (767 m above sea level) you can enjoy a splendid 360° view of Gaeta and Monte Orlando, Circeo, the Pontine Islands, Lake Fondi and the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Civita.

The tour up Mt. Orlando and down into the historic old town is fantastically beautiful. The rest of the route to Cicero's tomb is not particularly special. In addition, the excavations at Cicero's tomb were closed due to restoration work.

From here it is possible to enjoy the view of Monte Grande, Itri, and the Gulf of Gaeta. The peaks of some smaller mountains are also seen, including Mt. S. Onofrio, Monte Vivola and - further away - Monte Ginestra.

The rounded promontory of Monte Orlando juts out into the blue Gulf of Gaeta and ends with a spectacular cliff overlooking the sea.
