스펠롱가‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪4‬개의 산 정상

To climb towards Cima Pantani from Contrada Taverna, below Campodimele, take Via Pozzo Largo and follow a pleasant little road immersed in the peace of nature until you enter a small wood. The road is narrow but well paved. I recommend it as a variant to the climb, for the Cima, from Fondi. Once you get there, you can continue towards Lenola and then quickly descend towards Fondi

From the summit of Monte Grande (767 m above sea level) you can enjoy a splendid 360° view of Gaeta and Monte Orlando, Circeo, the Pontine Islands, Lake Fondi and the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Civita.

The tour up Mt. Orlando and down into the historic old town is fantastically beautiful. The rest of the route to Cicero's tomb is not particularly special. In addition, the excavations at Cicero's tomb were closed due to restoration work.

From here it is possible to enjoy the view of Monte Grande, Itri, and the Gulf of Gaeta. The peaks of some smaller mountains are also seen, including Mt. S. Onofrio, Monte Vivola and - further away - Monte Ginestra.

The rounded promontory of Monte Orlando juts out into the blue Gulf of Gaeta and ends with a spectacular cliff overlooking the sea.

Originally known as "Le Crocette", from June 2022 the steep climb is now a tribute to the Pirate, Marco Pantani, who even without training, during an outing in preparation for the races, detached the group on this stretch. At the top of the climb there is a statue dedicated to the cyclist.
