I am saddened and sorry to see the Santa Maria refuge in a state of complete abandonment. 😔 It is a place with one of the most beautiful views of Lake Iseo I have ever seen, but thanks to the wicked managers, this is the end it has come to.

Once you reach the summit you are rewarded for every drop of sweat you shed, the view is wonderful, it's a shame about the last stretch which you do by pushing but it's still worth it

Excellent place to catch your breath and stop for a moment to reflect and why not have a beer at the refuge and a nap 😂
