I am saddened and sorry to see the Santa Maria refuge in a state of complete abandonment. 😔 It is a place with one of the most beautiful views of Lake Iseo I have ever seen, but thanks to the wicked managers, this is the end it has come to.

From the sanctuary of Santa Maria del Giogo, at 968 m above sea level, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of both the Sebino and Val Trompia; the building is located on the ancient transit route that connected the Sebino basin to Val Trompia and Brescia, where the borders of three municipalities meet: Sulzano, Polaveno and Gardone Val Trompia.
