D.O.C hut with 28 camp beds, kitchen, heater, toilet, water. There are some campsites outside.

Beautifully located mountain hut... from here you go up to the Travers Saddle... the hut is not included in the Backcountry Hut Pass... so purchase a ticket at the DOC Visitor Center beforehand

Beautiful cabin with a wonderful view.. the original cabin was destroyed in a flash flood.. this new cabin was therefore rebuilt a little higher

Ideally located if you want to stay overnight before or after climbing Mt. Rintoul… wonderful views of the sea

Everything is taken care of here. A huge stone rock protects you from wind and weather. There is a fireplace + firewood + axe. 2 beds, with mattresses, where you can lie down well-groomed. In addition, a water point + pot is also available. PS: 100m further up there is a shed full of firewood 😄
