After the Omarama Saddle you will find this nice hut. if you are heading south, keep going for 2 or 3 km and you will find another, but at least you already did 10 of 30 river crossing. river crossing in the early morning is hard.

Another popular hut that does not require booking. A first come first serve basis. Get there early though as beds are limited to 14. Toilet and water available here.

This hut needs to be booked in advance between the months of Oct - April. https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/otago/places/mount-aspiring-national-park/things-to-do/huts/aspiring-hut/ $40.00pp gets you a comfy bunk and a warm, dry shelter for the evening. often busy the facilities here are top of the range with a newly installed wood burner to keep the communal space toasty.
