Super nice

We stopped off at the Forsthaus Glüsing with a group of 9 people for a delicious gourmet breakfast. Very good value for money. There was yoghurt, salmon, sausage, egg, cheese and something from the bakery for dessert. We enjoyed our breakfast on the beautiful terrace with large parasols. I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

The hiking trail "Hohes Elbufer" (W30) also runs along here, which I can highly recommend at this point. The Forsthaus Glüsing is more than just an inn - it is a place where tradition meets a cozy coffee house with regional cuisine. Built almost 80 years ago and lovingly restored, the inn combines tradition and cosiness with modern comfort. The refuge is particularly useful when you are out and about there and are surprised by the weather.

I think it's really great that this great refuge was built a little higher up on the banks of the Elbe. It is ideal for a rest and also offers protection in a storm. You could even stay overnight here.
