A beautiful sight with reflections

Here you will find a small pond, the interesting thing is that it is the highest point. Not far from there is also the Große Seelacke.

There are a few cycle paths nearby (Tullnerfeld cycle path, garden tour, Venusberg MTB circuit, Traisental-Danube connecting cycle path) It's worth taking a detour to the pond if the weather is good, then you can see very beautiful reflections of the castle.

As a surprise, you will find the Kleine Seelacke in the middle of the forest, interestingly almost at the highest point, and not far away is the Große Seelacke.

Several benches invite you to linger. Whether in the blazing sun or in the shade, there is something for everyone here 😉.

Sitzenberg Castle: The Renaissance castle, formerly “Sitz am Berg”, was already in the 12th century. Property of the Princes of Styria, later the Regensburg Cathedral Vogt and Duke Frederick II, the controversial, who passed the castle on as a fief. Today the higher federal college for agriculture and food economics is housed in the castle.
