An ascent leads from Frasdorf through the valley of the Ebnater Achen via the Frasdorfer Hut to the Laubenstein. Another ascent leads from Hohenaschau via the Hofalm to the Laubenstein. The Laubenstein is a hilltop with a flat, grassy summit. The flanks of the mountain are wooded. The mountain has a main summit at 1350 m above sea level and a secondary summit about 400 meters southwest of it with a height of 1342 m above sea level. The mountain saddle in between is at 1321 m above sea level. The summit cross stands about 50 meters east of the highest point to be more visible from below.
