The ride up on the cable car and the view from the plateau across to the Chasseral and down to St. Imier is beautiful.

Not a spectacular climb. But a beautiful rural area.

A casual trail, everything is rideable but certainly not easy but fun! 😄

At an altitude of 1,280 m, the Mont-Soleil resort offers you magnificent views of the Chasseral and the Combe Grède. The Monts trail between Mont Soleil and Mont Crosin allows you to enjoy panoramas of the Jura massif, as well as the possibility of visiting the solar power plant and the wind turbine park. The funicular, built in 1903, connects St Imier and Mont-Soleil.

If you're looking for a scenic and easy route in the Jura Mountains, you should try the Petit Matterhorn Trail in Tavannes. This trail takes you from the town of Tavannes to the top of the Petit Matterhorn, a small hill that resembles the famous Matterhorn. Along the way, you can admire the hilly landscape, the forest and Lake Biel.

The altitude of this summit allows you, when weather conditions are favorable, to appreciate the fog from the sky.

On the north side of the Chasseral, you usually just drive past this gem. It's worth taking the few steps. Not just because of the view, but also because of the flora and fauna, depending on the time of year, of course. There are also some bizarre trees and rock formations to marvel at. The walk takes 10 minutes - depending on your fitness and taking photos - and is easy to manage. After the bridge/tank barrier, go up the fence on the left, the footpath does not continue (Caution: Do not go any further here - keep children and dogs under control - shortly after the end of the path you will be standing directly above a rock face)!

Pass at 827m. Just below there is a source of drinking water to replenish the water supplies.
