The Wissahickon Waterfowl Preserve is just off of Maple Road, one of the main roads in Ambler. This is a fantastic place to look for birds for the lake is actually fenced off so that they (and other animals) can live in peace, uninterrupted by people. This means that you sometimes might see birds that you don't typically see in a suburban area like Ambler. Although it can be a little hard to see over the fencing, there are gaps and viewpoints with platforms available for you to better be able to see the birds.

Knight Road dissects the Green Lane Reservoir and Perkiomen Creek. With water on either side of the road, it is a beautiful section to ride, with a lot to see.

Knight Lake is an extension of Deep Creek Lake, east of the Deep Creek Dam. There are day use areas, picnic tables and other amenities around the lake, making it a nice spot for a rest and family activities.

This short section going up or down Swamp Creek Road is simply stunning. The road follows Unami Creek for most of the way and the creek is super nice on the eye. Have a blast riding alongside this gorgeous creek through pristine woodland. To cap it off the road is also super good.

Perkiomen Creek has a meandering flow, forming different coves in the Green Lane Reservoir, such as Snowflake Cove. The Cove sits along the Blue Trail, forming a little beach surrounded by forest. It can be very scenic during autumn with the golden colors contrasting with the emerald green water.
