Cabin used in August 2025. There are no mattresses, but a wooden structure on which to place your own sleeping mats or mattresses. Sleeps approximately 8-10. Very good condition and well maintained. A stream flows about 20 meters away, and there is also a source (pipe) of drinking water (indicated on the map) 150 meters away. Bivouacs are also possible nearby.

Be careful, there are a lot of mice in the hut. Bring food to safety!

Very beautiful ridge a few steps from the Iraty chalets. It offers a superb view of the Pic d'Orhy on the horizon.

The Pic des Escaliers opens up a beautiful panorama of Soule and Basse-Navarre. A path on a broad ridge joins the Arthanolatze. It offers spectacular views: on one side the immense Iraty forest and on the other the Orhy peak, the first 2,000 meters of the Pyrenees.

The Pic d’Orhy is the highest point in the Basque Country at 2,017 meters above sea level. It offers an incredible panorama of the Bay of Biscay, the Pic d’Anie, Béarn and the first peaks of the Pyrenees. From Larrau, the ascent is along a sharp and arid ridge which remains accessible.
