The spacious hut was created in 1998 together with the rest area by the Büchelberg pensioners' community. A beautiful and very quiet place for a rest. Here you can also wait for a rain shower.

In 2000/2001, the municipality of Ötigheim built a forest, shelter and barbecue hut in the "Große Bahnwiese" area with active support and cooperation with the citizens of Ötigheim and the local clubs/communities. In the period from April to October, this can only be rented by the residents of Ötigheim for private celebrations and the local clubs/communities.
