La Mare à Poule d'Eau is a small, calm oasis located in the center of the Salazie cirque. It is set in a remarkable green setting. The surface of the body of water is largely covered with chouchou and casuarina trees. It is possible to fish there and go around it entirely.

Unfortunately no access to the beach

Hike made today beautiful weather on the driveway, arrived at the basin unfortunately very big waterfall which sends a fine rain everywhere. Fairly muddy at the moment, back in nice rain. Lots of currents in the river. Nice outing in any case the whole family enjoyed despite the rain

Cooling down is definitely the order of the day

The small lake is the namesake of the adjacent town and recreational area of the locals. On the north and west banks are some brick fireplaces - but unfortunately many of them are broken and of the many picnics here was unfortunately left a lot of trash, which bothers the otherwise very nice impression at this place again and again.
