The climb is much quieter than in the neighboring Sant Salvador. In my opinion, the climb up to Sant Salvador is more beautiful and varied. The climb has some tough sections, but they are not too long. If you want to go to the top (on foot) for a panoramic view, you have to pay an entrance fee.

Castell de sa Punta de n'Amer, the history During the 16th century, the need for guarded coasts arose when pirates from North Africa and the Ottoman Empire constantly attacked Mallorca. However, the final decision to build this fortress was not made until a violent attack took place in 1611, causing serious damage to the east coast.  Due to financial difficulties and economic decline in Manacor, the construction of the fortress began in 1693 and was completed in 1696. https://accesmallorca.com/attractions/castell-punta-amer/

Fortification located at a height of 408 meters on a cliff in the Sierras de Levante de Mallorca. The castle takes advantage of the orography of the top of the mountain, along with the walls and cliffs, to make this an impregnable fort. The castle also offers incredible views of Mallorca, especially the Puig de Sant Salvador, where there is a sanctuary, a monument to Christ the King and the Picot Cross.
