6월 30, 2025, Camí de les Coves Blanques
The path to the Coves Blanques, also known as the Camí dels Presos (Path of the Prisoners), was built between 1937 and 1940 by Republican prisoners of the Spanish Civil War. It served as the access road for the expansion of the Coves Blanques into an artillery emplacement. Personally, I find the path a bit monotonous, but if you come from the Cornavaques (https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/1417540171), it's quite relaxing.

Unfortunately too… But no problem, since I am here often, I will come back and see more… In my opinion, absolutely recommendable

Because of the loose stones, you need good shoes and because of the lack of shade, you need a hat and plenty to drink. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view. The hidden cave at the summit is very exciting for children, but be careful not to fall into the hole at the summit.

The path to the coves is rocky and requires good shoes. Other than that not very challenging

You have to look closely to see the entrance. Go closer, as a thick stone blocks your view. However, access is only possible for slim to normal-built, flexible people 🤸🏽😉

If you have the necessary alpine experience, you should go to La Mola :)

Unfortunately, the gate was locked on all 4 of my visits in the last few years. So there is only the view from above.

At the foot of the 250m high Puig de Sant Marti, the cave of Sant Marti. 2/3 Jh the first Christians Mallorca secretly gathered for the fair. Completely restored in 1993. But unfortunately closed at the moment due to the risk of landslides.

The Cave of Sant Martí is located on the hill of the same name. It is believed to have been used as a place of worship by the first Christians of the Roman city of Pol·lèntia. The first documented data appear in 1268. It is entered via a 12m high staircase. Inside there is an old well, now covered, two semicircular medieval altars and a ribbed vault dedicated to Saint Martin and Saint George, with high stone carvings. The first shows cutting off half of his cloak to protect a poor man, revealed to be Jesus, and the second in St. George as he slays the dragon. Last winter there were some landslides and the Diocese of Mallorca, owner of the grotto, keeps it closed for safety reasons.

The path is quite rocky. Therefore, shoes with a firm sole and a closed toe box are advisable.

A Majorcan family recommended this cave to us. After some deliberation, we dared to go down and in with our children (6 & 9). On a Spanish holiday. The most dangerous thing was the number of people of all ages and the lack of alternatives. All in all quite challenging. Children should be fit and experienced in climbing. Good flashlights and walking shoes, as the previous speakers have pointed out. Definitely doable with children. https://www.mallorcafuerkinder.de/sa-cova-tancada-mallorca/

Cannot be described in pictures, especially since pictures of the "via ferrata" can often be seen here. The stalactite cave inside is huge and impressive. Here you can easily stay 15-30 minutes to explore. Most fun with a big lamp

Good footwear and courage required. Some turn back and miss the spectacular cave, which is well worth the effort. Unfortunately not always a safety rope where you could need one. It is best to walk down without luggage and sticks.

A really adventurous and spectacular way. Absolute surefootedness and a head for heights are required. You have to look for the way in part - attention: the safety ropes are no longer all fixed
