The protected areas of the Llobregat delta are a network of protected areas belonging to the municipalities of El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, Gavà and Sant Boi de Llobregat. This area, located next to cultivated fields and surrounded by large communication infrastructures, enjoys great biological diversity. You can find lagoons, wetlands and coastal pine forests on dunes and virgin beaches. It is a very important area for wildlife, especially for waterfowl, as it is located on the migratory route from northern Europe to Africa.

Old lagoon that currently has the appearance of a river channeled between crops. It is one of the wetlands of the Delta del Llobregat that has suffered the most, both due to the proximity and effects of various aerial infrastructures and due to the alteration of water flows.

In summer it is very good due to the shadows there are. A beautiful place, a little haven of peace. A fountain that was part of a farmhouse in the area and is an entrance to the mountain.

Located on the right bank of the final stretch of the river Llobregat, they occupy about 145 ha and there is a great diversity of flora and fauna. Here we can find the main landscapes of the Delta: reedbeds, wet meadows, pine forests, reedbeds, beaches and coastal lakes, such as Cal Tet and Ca l’Arana. These spaces form a miniature Delta.

There is a nature reserve where the Llobregat River flows into the Mediterranean Sea. It is possible to explore the delta on very limited paths and only until 2 p.m. But it's worth it! In the clayey floods it is teeming with turtles, you can watch stretches of beach from observation towers where the birds frolic and which are closed to people all year round or also look at crumbling police barracks directly on the beach etc. To the long sandy slopes to the To cover sights, it is advisable to explore the area by bike!

It is worth investing time to see and observe this wonderful environment, the only thing that disturbs you for a moment are the departures and arrivals of the planes, but it is still worth visiting and spending time walking along its tracks and trails.
