Casa Forestal de la Cortijuela is a popular biker destination, in front of the house there are tables with benches to breathe and enjoy the silence. There is also a fountain and we recommend filling all your drinking bottles, because there won't be a fountain for a long time after that. If you break down in the Sierra, it might not end so well!

This refuge-type booth is located on the Ibex road, a regional road from Granada to Almuñécar, right at the same junction between Jayena and Albuñuelas. This is a good place to spend the night if it happens that night falls or to shelter from the cold or water.
