Very nice tour around the lake, directly, but high along the shore. There are ways to climb down to the water. At the end of the reservoir (tributary) there is a path leading down where you can also swim.

Great section, the start of the trail is well described. Since there is nothing further to come, you should take a closer look at the small mountain village of Beniardá, which is well worth seeing, and use the bar for a break.

A steep, asphalted road leads down to the back of the dam. If the large iron gate is closed, there is a smaller, unlocked door in the fence. Driving through is permitted, and the trail is open to mountain bikes all the way down to the coastline in Altea.

Multitude of restaurants, bars and terraces, rest and refresh.

The view from the dam of the Embassament de Guadalest is truly impressive! From there you can see the turquoise water of the reservoir, framed by the surrounding mountains. The landscape is characterized by the steep rock faces and lush vegetation of the Sierra de Aitana.
