The Bellús reservoir is located between the municipality of Bellús and the neighboring town of Benigánim, in the province of Valencia.

The panoramic mountain track descends through the hills of the sierra to the Basseta del Surar area, surrounded by cork oaks, in Valencian surera, chasms and mountain horizons. The pond is an amphibian reserve and when it has water it maintains a valuable wetland ecosystem. There are signs at all detours. The trail makes two loops from this point. The first is a round trip, leaving the track to the left and following the Botanical Path towards Els Miradors and Alto de la Lletrera.

Good views of the reservoir from the Sempere viewpoint and park, which is now part of Route 99 (https://ruta99.gva.es/).

Since the Spaniards drive very carefully and overtake cyclists at a reasonable distance, it is not a problem to drive over the bridge, which has no cycle lane (or sidewalk to push the bike on).

Good asphalt, great views but quite a lot of traffic for Spanish countryside.

The Bellús reservoir was built in 1995 in the Albaida river bed on a surface of 703 hectares, with a maximum capacity of 69 hm³. It belongs to the Hydrographic Confederation of Xúquer and its function is irrigation and preventing avenues.

Also known as the "swamp" of Bellus, the reservoir is one of the most prominent points in La Costera. A few meters from the road is the car park with a picnic area and information boards to take advantage of to rest and appreciate the beautiful views.
