If you climb from the road to the summit of Maigmó, the elevation gain ranges between 700 and 800 meters, half that if you climb from the Balcón de Alicante. It is part of a very important forest core and is therefore protected. Native flora and fauna of the Mediterranean mountains reign here, such as the Aleppo pine, of which you can see some exceptional specimens.

With its top at an altitude of 1,210 meters above sea level, the views it offers are simply wonderful. You will be able to have a 360 degree panoramic view of the entire interior of Alicante as well as towards the beautiful beaches of the Costa Blanca. A highly recommended place!

The climb to Penya Migjorn is demanding and requires being prepared for it with appropriate footwear, walking sticks (recommended) and plenty of water, since the physical effort is important and there will be no place to recharge along the way.
