Beautiful view from the Skåldalsnipa summit and the path up there is steep but firm. After that the terrain becomes more boggy and the path is not easy to find as it is heavily overgrown. However, it is mostly flat. (Waypoint 1 to 2) The rest is easy to do. We would only recommend the hike to the summit. Otherwise you need to have good shoes with you so that you don't get wet socks.

The highest top in the area and thus a must do on its own right. Be prepared for a bit of snow early in the season and some rock scrambling. The more direct route from/to redningshytten requires some mountaineering skills and is not advised for unexperienced hikers.

The highest peak around Bergen with a great all-round view.

Went on this tour today (July 21, 2022), just the right thing for my daughter, because she doesn't like boring tours and has waterproof shoes with great grip. I think all of this is necessary, because the first 200 meters of altitude you move a lot on slippery stone slabs, roots and in rivulets of mud. The path is easy to follow, you gain height quickly and there are always new great views. Full blueberry bushes and constant competition on how to manage the next few meters without slipping and flooding your shoes was fun. We were met by fit hikers who had needed 3.0 hours for the ascent and 2.5 hours for the way back. For us it was over at a good 600 m altitude, fog came up and became too dense, that was too risky for me. A nice tour for us, even if today without a summit. Thank you Thomas!

Very nice hike with great views.

Lonely, moderately difficult hike. A little more difficult at the bottom because of some plates, it can certainly be uncomfortable there when it is wet. Start is on the E39 just before the tunnel on the right behind the guardrail. There is a clearly visible path there. No signs but lots of markings (especially at the top) and cairns all the way. To park, turn left in front of the tunnel and then left again opposite the bus stop. Currently space for approx. 5 cars (08/21). All in all, a great hike, unexpectedly on the big E39, with a great view at the top.
