The Briksdal Glacier is an arm of the 486 square kilometre Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe

It's a beautiful experience to see the glacier up close. Beautiful colors. To avoid the crowds of tourists from cruise ships, I recommend a night or early morning hike.

Please note: Several sections of the route suggested by Komoot cross private property, which annoys the owner. He explicitly asked us to report this, as otherwise many cruise ship tourists would wander onto his property. He doesn't find it funny. We recommend taking the turnoff at point 2 and taking the slightly longer route towards the village at the end. This will also help with the locals.

Great place with lots of people. But there is enough space for everyone. Nature is so much bigger than humans. Like a huge amphitheater of nature. Glaciers, waterfalls and rocks. The trolls are hiding.😊
