The bed and the meal might be available on the weekend, if at all. We arrived during the week and then had a real problem.

The Malpensata Hut is perfect for a bite to eat. Great Italian cuisine. I really enjoyed it. The terrace is perfect for enjoying the beautiful views.

Cascina Margherita is open in the spring/summer period and offers travellers food and refreshments. Traditional cuisine (Salami, melted cheese, polenta, cutting boards). Housed in an old farmhouse, it enjoys a panoramic view of Brescia of rare beauty. Nestled in a green clearing immersed in the woods of Mount Maddalena, it is a fundamental crossroads for DH trails and slopes.

The Malpensata Refuge is located at 1,575 meters above sea level in the Brescia Prealps, among woods and mountain pastures that offer a suggestive and peaceful natural context. It can be reached via various paths, including those starting from Zone, Pisogne or Marone. The structure represents a point of reference for hikers who want to explore the surrounding mountains. The refuge is immersed in a panoramic setting of great beauty, with a view of the valleys below and the nearby peaks, such as Monte Guglielmo (1,957 m), known for its vast panoramas, and Monte Pizzocolo (1,581 m), a peak appreciated for the variety of paths that lead to the summit. The refuge's cuisine offers traditional Brescian dishes, simple but genuine, ideal for those seeking refreshment after a day of trekking. It is a strategic place both for an intermediate stop during an excursion and as the final destination of a shorter route. Mostly frequented in spring and autumn, it offers the opportunity to fully experience the beauty of the Lombard mountains, with colors and atmospheres that vary according to the seasons.
