The Torre dello Ziro rises on the rock spur that juts out towards the sea between Atrani and Amalfi. To get there you cross a narrow walkway, surrounded by crenellated walls, which connects the tower to the extreme point of the esplanade. The first information on this tower dates back to 1151, when it was still called "Rocca di S. Felice", while starting from 1292 it became Turris cziri.

In the 13th century, the rich Rufolo family had a mighty palazzo built on a rocky outcrop above the municipality of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. This castle-like residential palace is now one of the most interesting sights in Ravello and the entire Amalfi Coast. The Scot Francis Neville Reid bought the palazzo in 1851. At that time the Villa Rufolo near Ravello was in a rather neglected state. Reid took care of the renovation and had a beautiful garden created. The composer Richard Wagner traveled to the Amalfi Coast in 1880 and was also a guest at Villa Rufolo. The garden of the villa inspired Wagner so much that he claimed that he had found "Klingsor's Magic Garden" here - one of the settings for his opera "Parsifal". Richard Wagner's visit is unforgettable, and a music festival is held in Ravello every summer in his honor. The property with the garden can be visited daily. Visitors can see the 30 m high watchtower, which originally dates from the 13th century, and the main building with a chapel. The cloister in the Moorish style is particularly impressive. Mediterranean plants grow in numerous beds in the beautifully tended garden.

The hermitage of Santa Maria a Castello, otherwise called and therefore better known also as Castello di Lanzara, is located on the hill of Sant'Apollinare making it part of the hamlet of Trivio. It is located in an absolutely panoramic position, dominating the entire Nocerino Sarnese countryside, boasting a view that reaches as far as Pompeii and the island of Ischia. It is to all intents and purposes a fortress that boasts Lombard origins, within which a church was built more or less around the year 1300. The object of many political and religious disputes, the fortress is currently owned by the Parish of Lanzara and is in an excellent state of conservation and can be visited.
