The Rio del Sasso, flowing down from above, forms a small waterfall here in the last few meters before it flows into the Risenabach.

A hike to the Obstanser Boden is a great tour but tiring and this waterfall is only a welcome way to cool off when you see it.

Very refreshing on the climb

You should have a certain bit more stamina and you should also like things like stairs.

Great hike with beautiful views of East Tyrol. The vertical meters are easy to master on the easily walkable paths. The Obstanserseehütte then invites you to take a break.

Sturdy shoes a must. Wooden planks, some of which serve as steps, can be very slippery. Sticks are recommended.

The zigzag path between the Lunelli hut and the Berti hut repeatedly crosses the watercourses of the Risena stream and its tributaries. In many places the water gushes over the steep rock faces down into the valley. The path is also part of the watercourse in some places.

Very nice ascent through rustic forest. It's best to go uphill. Surefootedness absolutely necessary. However, absolutely worth seeing. Downhill really only for very experienced hikers (above is said sign, not below). Quite steep, narrow, slippery in places and at times. However, the path is always visible and partly secured with wire ropes.
