Symbol of the city of Asolo, the Rocca is a solid military fortification that stands on the top of Monte Ricco (310m). There is news that Venice attempted to sell the fortress in 1650, but in extremis the city's pleas prevented this sale; in fact the fortress became an inalienable part of the monumental heritage of Asolo.
