It's worth going to see it, then it's better to return via the short detour path because the descent towards Chamolé is not very enjoyable.

Beautiful mountain lake in the immediate vicinity of the Rifugio Arbolle alpine pasture. A circular hike around the lake is recommended and is not strenuous. At the lake there is a mountain path in a north-eastern direction, which initially branches off through the wonderful valley landscape and later towards Lago Garin or Lago Gelato.

Behind the Lago d'Arbole and along the Torrente d'Arbolle mountain stream there is a very beautiful and worth seeing landscape. From the Rifugio Arbolle mountain hut you can reach the two mountain lakes Lago Garin or Lago Gelato via a path that later splits.

This mountain lake at an altitude of 2300 meters was once a glacier. As you approach the lake you have a wonderful view of Mont Blanc, the valley of the Great Saint Bernard and the Gran Combin.
