Located at 222 meters above sea level, the medieval village of Montepescali, not far from Grosseto, offers a scenic view of the coastal strip, the Tuscan archipelago, and even Corsica. Dating back to the 9th century, the village retains traces of its history, with narrow streets, stairways, and monuments such as the Palazzo dei Priori and the Towers. Called the "Balcony of the Maremma", a break and a stroll through its streets should absolutely not be disdained.

Fraction of the municipality of Gavorrano, Giuncarico is located on a small hill overlooking the Bruna river. Here is the Rocca di Frassinello wine cellar, whose cellar was designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano.

Castiglione is a historic fishing village that is overlooked by the hilltop Castello di Castiglione della Pescaia, a mediaeval fortress. There are numerous accommodation and resupply options. Grab some food to go and enjoy the sunset on the extensive beach front.
