It is located near the disused ski lifts, about halfway between Alpe Colombino and Punta dell'Aquila. One Sunday in June I found it closed, so I can't say if it is operational or not. It seemed to be in good condition, recently renovated.

Panoramic point between Alpe Colombino and Punta dell'Aquila. The refuge is closed. From here it is also possible to reach, just below Punta Dell'Aquila, the 3° Alpini bivouac and the Chapel of the Madonna della pace

Reachable entirely on a paved/dirt road starting from Villarfocchiardo. Possibility to buy excellent alpine cheeses.
