To climb towards Cima Pantani from Contrada Taverna, below Campodimele, take Via Pozzo Largo and follow a pleasant little road immersed in the peace of nature until you enter a small wood. The road is narrow but well paved. I recommend it as a variant to the climb, for the Cima, from Fondi. Once you get there, you can continue towards Lenola and then quickly descend towards Fondi

From the summit of Monte Grande (767 m above sea level) you can enjoy a splendid 360° view of Gaeta and Monte Orlando, Circeo, the Pontine Islands, Lake Fondi and the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Civita.

Getting there is tough and technical, but it can be done on the saddle. The 360 panorama repays any effort. Stupendous. The stone 41 which marks the summit 1038 above sea level is part of the series of stones placed in the mid-1800s to indicate the border between the Papal State and the Kingdom of Naples.

Originally known as "Le Crocette", from June 2022 the steep climb is now a tribute to the Pirate, Marco Pantani, who even without training, during an outing in preparation for the races, detached the group on this stretch. At the top of the climb there is a statue dedicated to the cyclist.

Monte Solo (511 m a.s.l.) is a hill of the Ausoni Mountains in the Lazio Anti-Apennines. On the top of the mountain there are two iron statues, 14 meters high, depicting the patron saints of the village Sant'Elena and San Sinforo martyr. The two statues were placed there on the occasion of the jubilee year.
