At this point you are in the center of the Dahlener Heide and six different paths converge here. It used to be an important meeting point for hunters and lumberjacks - and because a huge oak tree once stood here, people always met "at the hunters' oak."

Hunter's oak at a seven-way spider in the center of the Dahlen Heath. Erected in 1763 in memory of the Saxon Elector and King of Poland Frederick Augustus after the last court hunt. Remains of the original column are in the village church in Sitzenroda. Another replica was recovered after 1945 and is in the local museum in Dahlen. Source: Wikipedia
