The Wöhrder See (not to be confused with the Wörthersee) is a reservoir in the heart of Nuremberg. It is approximately 2.6 km long, 100-200 m wide on average and covers an area of 52 hectares. It is named after the Nuremberg district of Wöhrd. The Wöhrder See in the east of Nuremberg stretches from the Wöhrd district to Mögeldorf and Erlenstegen. It consists of two interconnected parts, the Lower Wöhrder See with a length of approximately 1.2 km and a maximum width of 450 meters, and the Upper Wöhrder See with a length of approximately 1.4 km. After many months of construction work, the “Bay at Norikus” on the south bank of Lake Wöhrder is finished.
