Here is a particularly beautiful viewpoint of the lake, and the shoreline has been adorned for many years with a rustic tree trunk featuring fascinating protrusions. The bowl-shaped cavities are the remnants of former branchings, the "joints" of this dead tree, so to speak. They look magnificent. It's worth taking a look, and taking photos too. A great subject. And, of course, an exceptionally beautiful place to linger for a while!

The path is closed there, protected wetland biotope

You should go all the way around. It is also nice to take the path with a section along the Hellmühler river.

Beautiful, quiet shore path with great views of the lake, but severely restricted by tree growth.

Way clearly blocked by a wooden barrier. There is a protected wet biotope here.

The path that goes off here in a south-east direction directly along the Hellsee (through the beaver area) is closed. There is now a protected wetland biotope.

Here you can see many trees that have been gnawed off or fallen by beavers, as well as dammed dams.

Incredible that even very large trees can be felled by a beaver without any problems.
