The Bauersee lies a little in the shadow of the Kalksee and is only a few meters away from it. The inflow is via the (unfortunately dry) Kuhgraben in the north, but the outflow via the Bauerngraben does not lead into the Kalksee but south into the Flakensee.

The small park at the Bauersee is called "Haselberger Garten". There are a few benches at a roundabout on an intermediate level, from where you can get to the only direct access to the Bauersee.
